Kent will be having a go at Leicestershire in the quarter-final of the Royal London One Day Cup 2022. 

The road to the final will not be easy for the club as they have lost many of their key players, like Sam Billings, Matt Milnes, Jordan Cox etc., to the Men's Hundred tournament. Adding to the misery, the head coach, Matt Walker, has also left the camp while Zak Crawley is playing the Test series against South Africa with the England team.

Despite the absence of the key players, batting all-rounder Alex Blake has backed his team to do well. Although Joe Denly's troops didn't have an ideal start to the tournament, they redeemed themselves in the second half by winning three of their last four games. Therefore, the all-rounder reflected on how Kent have gained momentum at the right time. 

Speaking to Kent Online, Blake said,

"I know we are missing quite a few to The Hundred, but we looked at the start of the campaign and we thought we had got more than enough here to have a really good run at this competition. If you look at our line-up from one to 11, we have used different players throughout."

Notably, Kent's last league game saw them pipping Lancashire by two wickets. Blake was the top run-getter for his team with a knock of 81 runs. Speaking about the game, the all-rounder was all praises for Stewart and Finch. However, he seemed disappointed with his own performance, as he couldn't take his team past the finish line.
