They chased down Lancashire’s 295 with two wickets and a ball to spare at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. Alex Blake scored 81 while Darren Stevens contributed to the run-chase with a 41-ball 49. Despite the defeat, Lancashire also made it to the quarter-finals owing to their imperial run this season.

Northamptonshire vs Derbyshire

The visiting Derbyshire batters made a mockery of Northamptonshire’s 311-run first-innings effort. Luis Reece’ 106 in the run-chase tendered Northants’ Lewis McManus 107 in vain as the visitors took home the game by eight wickets and seven balls to spare.

The result, however, did not made much difference at the points table as both teams ended their 2022 Royal London campaigns with first-round exits.

Glamorgan’s 19-run win in a high-scoring thriller against hosts Worcestershire was not enough to elevate them to the knockout stage of the tournament.

Earlier in the match, unbeaten tons from Sam Northeast and Billy Root motored the Glamorgan total to 356-3 off their 50 overs.

The hosts put up a fight, with wicketkeeping-batter Ben Cox denting out the most punches in the run-chase with his 84*. However, they finished their response at 337-9 to fall 19 runs short of their target.

Glamorgan: 356-3 (50)

Sam Northeast 177* (148), Billy Root 113* (92)

Yorkshire vs Hampshire

Hampshire trumped Yorkshire by 72 runs at Scarborough to register their seventh win in eight Group B games. Needless to say, the Nick Gubbins-led side made it to the semi-finals by topping the Group B points table, while Yorkshire missed out by losing to the table-toppers in their must-win fixture.

Aneurin Donald with his 31-ball 76 and John Turner with his five-fer were the headline acts of Hampshire in their final group match of the season.

Hampshire: 313-9 (50)

Aneurin Donald 76 (31), Ben Brown 60 (83)
