For his incredible contribution of 88* off 65 deliveries with five fours and four sixes, Saud Shakeel has been awarded the player of the match. He was the only player from Quetta who did actually managed to find his momentum in the innings on a difficult wicket.

Out to chase 167 set by Lahore, Quetta had a flying start courtesy of Jason Roy who smashed three consecutive fours in the start. However, after that, finding runs were quite difficult in the middle stage. Saud Shakeel did the best he could to stay at the crease despite tough batting conditions out there. He stood there till the end and found regular boundaries in the last few overs. In the end, Mohammad Wasim Junior's last ball six when four runs were needed off the last ball sealed the playoff spot for the Gladiators who made it through after a gap of four long years.
