In the 28th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League, Laurie Evans, the keeper-batter of the Quetta Gladiators, pulled off a stunning catch behind the stumps to dismiss Lahore Qalandars' batter Shai Hope cheaply. 

Quetta Gladiators, who are desperate for a win to proceed further to the next stage of the league against Lahore Qalandars started off brilliantly and grabbed early wickets. They are at the fourth spot in the points table and need to win a game or two in order to qualify for the knockout stage. However, Qalandars have been eliminated from the tournament.

The English cricketer Laurie Evans had an amazing time in the different T20 leagues around the world and now, he has made it to the Pakistan Super League 2024. Even though he could not score more than 12 runs in his first game, but will look to capitalise on the next few opportunities.

In the 10th over of the first innings, Mohammad Wasim Jr. got the ball to skid off the surface and as Hope tried to defend it, the ball caught the inside edge of his blade and went left of Laurie Evans who took a one-handed catch to stun one and all.
