In a hilarious PSL 2024 moment, Lahore Qalandars opener Sahibzada Farhan lost grip over his bat as he clattered Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Mohammad Amir over cover for a boundary.

Turning up for his side in match number 28 of the ongoing PSL 2024 season, Farhan listed a couple of belligerent boundaries before he stepped out to Amir for another during the third over of the innings.

Sahibzada Farhan stepped out of his crease and dispatched Mohammad Amir’s slightly shorter delivery, only to lose his grip over the bat in the process.

Even though Farhan’s bat went for a toss towards the leg side, the opening batter still managed to clear the in-field as the ball raced towards the boundary over the cover region.

Mohammad Amir’s opening two-over spell ended up yielding 19 runs for his side as Lahore Qalandars formed a confident start in their opening powerplay.

Farhan, however, failed to pile on his top-order momentum as Quetta Gladiators spinner Abrar Ahmed deceived him in the sixth over of the innings.

Farhan’s opening partner, Mirza Baig, also fell victim to Ahmed’s spin dexterity in the same over as the Qalandars slipped from 38-0 to 39-2 in a space of three deliveries.

The match marks the final league fixture for Lahore Qalandars and the penultimate outing for the Quetta Gladiators franchise this PSL 2024 season.

Earlier in the tournament, the Qalandars became the first team to get knocked out from the playoffs race, and they are currently placed at the bottom of the PSL 2024 points table.
