Shaheen Afridi is well-known all-around the world for his amazing bowling skills, but in the last couple of years, he has also displayed his ability to deliver with the bat. In the 28th match of PSL 2024, he once again reaffirmed his credentials with the bat, with a 28-Ball fifty. 

He reached his fifty with a six as well, and came up with a 'finger on his lip' celebration targeting critics who have doubted his ability.

Lahore Qalandars skipper won the toss and decided to bat first and also made a bold call to promote himself at number 5 ahead of the likes of Sikandar Raza and David Wiese. However, he looked like a man on mission right from the onset and started pumping Quetta Gladiators bowlers all over the park.

He got to his fifty on the final delivery of the 17th over when he hammered Abrar Ahmed, the mystery spinner of Pakistan over long off. It was a full delivery and Afridi got well under it to hit into the crowd.

It was his second fifty in PSL and first of the season and his fifty and ensured a competitive total of 166 for Lahore Qalandars against a quality team like Quetta Gladiators.
