Ace Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to be back in action through the seventeenth Indian Premier League season, beginning on March 22. Pandya, who led Gujarat Titans in the previous two IPL seasons, returned to his former team, Mumbai Indians, via an all-cash trade between the concerned parties before the IPL mini-auction. 

The swashbuckling all-rounder will lead the five-time champions, replacing veteran opener Rohit Sharma, who was at the helm for eleven consecutive years. 

Soon after joining the Mumbai Indians camp, Pandya addressed his troops before the much-anticipated season. 

With a fire in his eyes and a passion for the game, Pandya expressed his emotions upon reuniting with his MI teammates, urging them to play an aggressive brand of cricket in the tournament. 

The experienced campaigner also promised the fans a high-sailing IPL campaign that they would remember for a long time. 

"The feeling of wearing back the Mumbai Indians jersey is very special for me. I'm back home. We'll play a brand of cricket which all will be proud of and a ride which no one will forget," Pandya stated. 

In 85 innings for Mumbai Indians, Pandya has slammed 1476 runs at a blistering strike rate of 153.91. If reports are to be believed, swashbuckling batter Suryakumar Yadav might miss the initial games due to a sports hernia. In such a scenario, Pandya could bat at number four, providing their side with stability and dynamism.
