Renowned artists AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam, along with Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are set to dazzle the audience with their performances at the opening ceremony of the IPL. 

With just a week left until the start of the IPL, anticipation is reaching fever pitch among cricket enthusiasts. The first game of this year's IPL is scheduled to start at 8:00 pm IST. 

In the inaugural match, following tradition, the reigning champions Chennai Super Kings will clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. 

Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not continue to lead the Chennai Super Kings as their captain, as Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named as the new leader. While ex-CSK man Faf du Plessis will take on the leadership role for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

However, it's worth noting that apart from this opening game, all night league matches will commence at the usual time of 7:30 pm.

Before the game, fans can look forward to an electrifying opening ceremony featuring performances by the maestros of music, AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam, alongside Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. 

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's presence at the IPL opening ceremony takes on added significance as they are also promoting their upcoming movie, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan." Scheduled for release on the Eid weekend this April, the film has generated considerable buzz among fans. An IPL exposure will only help the movie more.


IPL Opening Ceremony Timing

The ceremony is expected to begin around 6:30 pm IST. The grand spectacle will set the stage on fire with its dazzling entertainment. Cricket enthusiasts can catch all the live action and ceremony screenings on Star Sports and Jio TV.
