Gujarat Titans (GT) will welcome Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at their den in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday. And, a victory in the upcoming fixture will make the Hardik Pandya-led unit become the first team to qualify for the playoff in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. However, it isn't going to be that easy for the defending champions as rain might play a role in the clash.

The is a slim chance of rain playing a spoilsport in the fixture between Gujarat and Hyderabad, with a 30% rain prediction from 6 PM to 7 PM on Monday. As per a leading weather forecast application, there are showers predicted at and before the toss. However, the sky is supposed to get cleared during the time of play.

The table-toppers Gujarat are coming into this fixture with a tragic loss to Mumbai Indians, and another defeat here could hamper their chances to finish in the top-two on the points table.

The Sunrisers, on the other hand, have had a topsy-turvy campaign in IPL 2023, with 8 points after 11 outings. They mathematically still are in the race to the playoff, but for that various permutations and combinations need to fall in place for them.

In IPL history, these two teams have met just twice with each of them winning once.
