Scott Boland set to play his first away Test for Australia in Nagpur

In a significant development, Victorian pacer Scott Boland is all set to play his first overseas Test.
As reported by Associated Press, the seamer will replace Josh Hazlewood, who has been ruled out of the Test match owing to a hamstring injury.
In his brief Test career, Boland has grabbed a million eyeballs through his incredible consistency with the red cherry.
He made his Test debut in the iconic Ashes in 2021 on home soil and troubled the Englishmen with his ability of moving the ball and accuracy.
Overall, the 33-yer-old has scalped 28 wickets at a magnificent average of 12.21 and an extraordinary strike rate of 33.25.
The right-arm pacer recently had a fruitful home summer, picking ten wickets in three Test matches against West Indies and South Africa.
Speaking of Josh Hazlewood, the bowler has had a torrid time since the start of the Australian summer, struggling with his form and fitness. Considering his experience, his absence could be a decisive blow to the visitors, who seem determined to better their Test record on Indian soil.
Meanwhile, legendary Australian batter Steve Smith lavished praise on Boland for his ability of attacking the stumps at a decent pace. So, as Hazlewood is ruled out, the Aussies would bank on the experienced Victorian to spearhead their pace battery alongside skipper Pat Cummins.
