According to the emerging reports, the all-important IPL 2025 final will likely be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On Monday night, the BCCI released the updated schedule for the remaining matches of the tournament.
Ahmedabad Likely To Host IPL 2025 Final
Although the group-stage matches were distributed across six different venues in Lucknow, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, the BCCI didn't reveal where the four playoff matches, including the final, would be played.
However, if a TOI report is to be believed, one of the playoff games will be conducted at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad likely to host the final.
As per the revised schedule, the IPL 2025 will resume on May 17, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The high-voltage clash will be played at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
A Timeline Of IPL 2025 Suspension
Recently, the Indian armed forces launched a retaliatory strike on Pakistan-based militant groups as a response to the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 innocent civilians.
The Operation Sindoor left the Pakistani army rattled, as it escalated the matter by attacking the Indian cities with multiple drones and missiles. Although the Indian forces intercepted a majority of the explosives, the BCCI suspended the tournament for the security of the players as well as the support staff.
The situation at the India-Pakistan border eventually eased off, with both parties agreeing to a mutual ceasefire understanding. It prompted the BCCI to hold a meeting with the IPL franchises as well as the stakeholders before uploading the revised schedule on the night of May 12.
