The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 after a brief suspension is set to resume once again on May 17 as six venues have been finalised for the remainder of the season. Interestingly, the overseas players won't be forced to come back due to the ongoing conflicts between India and Pakistan.
If key foreign players miss out, the combinations of many teams will be disrupted. As it stands, the Australian players are likely to miss the remaining part of the season due to the upcoming WTC finale against South Africa as well. Here is a list of all the Aussie stars who could potentially miss the IPL 2025 season.

It is to be noted that Cricket Australia has given full support to Australian cricketers even if they want to go back to India for the remaining IPL season.
"Cricket Australia will support players in their individual decisions whether to return to India or not," CA said in a statement.
"Team management will work through the preparation implications for the World Test Championship final for those players who choose to play in the remaining IPL matches.
The Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI), meanwhile has asked the franchises to assemble their squad by Tuesday as the season will begin on Saturday.
Australia prioritising WTC finale over IPL
The Australian board and their players are prioritising the WTC finale over IPL season. The finale will take place on June 11 and if the Aussie stars play the IPL, they won't have much time to prepare for the match against South Africa as the Pat Cummins led side will enter the finals as the defending champions.
