After what has been transpiring over the last two months, India's captaincy rumours have been doing the rounds of social media with many claiming Hardik Pandya is in line to replace Rohit Sharma as the new T20 skipper.

However, all of these have been put to rest as coach Rahul Dravid has dismissed any of those claims mentioning that he isn't aware of any of those developments that have been taking place. Former Indian cricketer added that this needs to be asked to selectors rather than him.

“Not that I am aware of. That’s a question you need to ask the selectors but as of now, I don’t think so,”

This came after it was reported that senior players like Rohit or Virat Kohli could hang up their boots from the shortest format giving way to youngsters.

Further, he spoke on the topic of workload management adding that they have been working on this which was evident as they gave rest to some of the top gun players of the Indian side. Dravid's view was that managing workload is quite significant as they will continue to do so during this year's IPL as well.

"Workload management is something that is a part and parcel of the game today. We keep reviewing these things. You will call the break we have given to some of our boys in the T20 series as workload management.

"Injury management and workload management are two different things, we have to keep balancing the two based on what the priority is for us in the short term considering the amount of cricket we play and ensuring that we have our big players available for us in the big tournaments."

India will next be playing against New Zealand in the third ODI to be played in Indore on 24th January.
