After the T20I leg of the tour, New Zealand will square off against the West Indies, this time in a three-match ODI series. The caravan will move to Bridgetown, Barbados, where all the three games will be played, starting August 17.

West Indies are going through a torrid phase, suffering back-to-back series defeats. While they did manage to clinch a win in the dead rubber versus New Zealand, it as of now appears as a flash in the pan.

The host side will be led by Nicholas Pooran. Interestingly, the Windies regular white-ball skipper was rested for the final T20I versus Kane Williamson and Co. Pooran has blown hot and cold throughout his stint as the captain and his own form remains a matter of concern.

As far as the Kiwis are concerned, they are enjoying significant success in the ODI format lately. They scored a perfect 11 in the European tour, winning all of the fixtures versus Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland.

The focus will be on Trent Boult whose international career might be on its last legs. Williamson will also mark his ODI comeback through this series.

Key Players

Shai Hope, a reliable West Indies opener, was in scintillating form in the ODI series versus India. The batter scored 144 runs in the series and was West Indies' top-scorer.

Albeit making a return to ODI cricket after nearly two and a half years, Kane Williamson remains New Zealand's best bet in this format.

Devon Conway has been piling up runs for fun these days. Expected to feature in the middle order, Conway can continue his golden run in the Caribbean.
