The ongoing CPL match between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots And St Lucia Kings is set to go down the wire as The Faf Du Plessis-led side are on course to chase a big total of 202. 

The hosts, batting first, put 201 runs on the board courtesy of Evin Lewis and Kyle Mayers, who stitched a 199-run stand for the 2nd wicket, the highest partnership for any wicket in the history of CPL.

Lewis was the top-scorer with the bat as he scored a century. While, Mayers missed out on a well-deserved century, as he played a knock of 92 runs.

Mayers' innings featured seven sixes and six fours. After spreading magic with the bat, the southpaw also hogged the internet for his bowling, as he drew the first blood for the Patriots by taking Johnson Charles' wicket.

Mayers puts in a brilliant all-round show

Mayers, who came to bowl the opening over, took his first wicket in his second over when he rattled Charles' stumps with a brilliant inswinging delivery. The wicket took place on the 2nd ball of the 3rd over. 

The all-rounder struck again in his 2nd over as he also got rid of Ackeem Auguste. It was an all-round performance from the LSG star as he also shone in the field and took two great catches. 

The one for which he went viral on the internet was of St Lucia Kings' captain Faf du Plessis. Mayers took a great running catch to end RCB captain's innings early. 

Kyle's all-round performance resulted in The Kings being restricted to 24-4, but at the time of writing, the visitors have resurrected their innings and are close to a sensation win in the game.
