The CPL match between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and St Lucia Kings is halfway through at the Warner Stadium. The hosts, batting first, lost an early wicket that too of skipper Andre Fletcher.

Despite an early blow, Evin Lewis and Kyle Mayers went all guns blazing and stitched a 199-runs stand for the 2nd wicket. It was raining sixes in St Kitts as Lewis and Mayers smashed 16 sixes combined. Unfortunately, the fans could not grab most of the shots that went for six as nearly half of them hit the roof or went out of the stadium.

Ball Boy Steals The Show In CPL

Nonetheless, a ball boy hogged the internet after he made a spectacular diving effort to take a catch. The incident occurred when David Wiese came to bowl, but Kyle Mayers smashed him for a six down the ground that went towards the sight screen.

It is worth noting that the CPL organisers have kept prize money for the spectators if they take a one-handed catch. The person to take the first one-handed catch in a CPL game wins 1000$ prize. Thus, it is the reason that the ball boy made a diving attempt to catch the ball and early hit the jackpot.

Kyle Mayers Falls Short Of A Hundred

Mayer and Lewis wreaked havoc on the bowlers, as the latter scored century, while Mayers missed out on a well-deserving century by eight runs.

The southpaw amassed 92 (62), which featured six fours and seven sixes.

Mayers was on course to hit a century but his flow took a hit after rain interrupted play in the 19th over that caused a delay of over 30 minutes. When the play resumed, both Mayers and Lewis failed to connect the ball nicely and eventually the LSG star lost his wicket to David Wiese.
