The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are up against the St. Lucia Kings in the fifth match of the CPL 2024. This game is being played at the Warner Park in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots have already played two games in the tournament. While they won their first match in a closely fought contest against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, they lost their second game at this venue against the Trinbago Knight Riders. 

On the other hand, the St. Lucia Kings will be starting their journey for the CPL 2024 with this match. They will be looking to win this game in order to have a positive start to their campaign. The Kings will be aiming for their first title this season.

Faf du Plessis (St Lucia Kings Captain): We are going to chase. Venues like this, you chase usually. I feel a little bit of tackiness in the surface so there might be some turn. Every day you get to a pitch, you need to make plans for that day. Our team is very well balanced.

Very nice, we got close in the last four years. Unfortunately, for me missing out after 5 games last year. Very keen to do something with this team.

Andre Fletcher (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots Captain): There is one change for us. Ashmead Nedd comes in for Dominic Drakes. It is cricket.

There is nothing much you can do about it. You need to put it aside and focus on what you have.
