India's talismanic batter Virat Kohli might overtake Australia's greatest batter Sir Donald Bradman on an elite list of batters. Notably, Kohli has already registered 29 Test centuries and if he slams a ton in the ongoing Perth Test, he will surpass Bradman's tally to record more hundreds than him in the purest format.

Regarded for his scintillating stroke-play, Virat Kohli played a magnificent knock to script India's remarkable fightback in the Perth Test. Coming at number four, the veteran batter struck a glorious fifty, forming crucial stands with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Washington Sundar. He eventually brought up a hard-fought half-century with a gorgeous flick shot. 

The veteran Indian batter is has already breached the 67-run mark and needs only 33 more runs to go past Don Bradman and record more Test hundreds than the Australian legend. 

Bradman is arguably the greatest-ever batter to grace the game and it will be surreal if Kohli breaks his record at Perth Stadium. Statistically, sixteen players have scored more than 30 Test hundreds, with Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar being the only three Indians on the elite list. 

Virat Kohli and Jaiswal Help India Claim Driving Seat In Perth

Riding on Yashasvi Jaiswal's blistering hundred and Virat Kohli's fighting fifty, India have claimed the driving seat in the Perth Test against Australia. At the time of writing, the visitors were 416 for six, with Kohli and Nitish Kumar Reddy batting on 68* and 4*, respectively. 

Update: Virat Kohli has broken Sir Donald Bradman's record, as he has brought up his 30th Test ton in the ongoing encounter at Perth Stadium.
