In a heartwarming gesture that captured the spirit of cricket fandom, Rajasthan Royals (RR) pulled off a delightful prank on a Rahul Dravid superfan known as “Jr. Jammy" by arranging a special meet-up.

Rahul Dravid ended his successful coaching stint with the Indian senior cricket team on a high by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy in Barbados.

As Gautam Gambhir took over the reigns, Rahul Dravid transitioned back into IPL by rejoining Rajasthan Royals as head coach ahead of the 2024 IPL season.

The moment of homecoming was special for Dravid. 'The Wall' joined the RR in 2011 after his tenure with the RCB. He served as a player for the Royals until 2013 and later transitioned into a mentoring role, which continued until 2015.

When Rahul Dravid met his super fan!

That being said, Rahul Dravid paid a visit to RR’s Mumbai office shortly after the announcement was made to play a prank on one of the employees.

Neel Shah, known as ‘Jr. Jammy’ is a massive fan of Rahul Dravid. His WhatsApp and Instagram is filled with pictures and reels of Dravid and hence, RR decided to surprise him with an unplanned meetup.

Jr.Jammy was fooled into believing that he would be interviewing Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, Jammy was stunned to see Dravid walk through the door. The superfan was nervous, flabbergasted and could barely utter a word.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid hugged Neel to thank him for all his support and said that he is looking forward to working with him in the future.

Rahul Dravid’s Playful Jibe On His Biopic

Rahul Dravid has undoubtedly been an icon in Indian cricket. With sports centric films witnessing a steep rise, Dravid was asked to name an actor who could play lead in his biopic if the film were to be made today.

Meanwhile, Rahul Dravid playfully responded, saying if the money is good, he would love to act and play himself as he is free from national duties now.

Recently, a biopic on Yuvraj Singh’s life journey was announced by T-Series with the cast yet to be released.
