On August 21, former Indian captain and head coach Rahul Dravid made headlines with a witty remark at the CEAT Cricket Rating awards ceremony. 

Following the announcement of a biopic on cricket legend Yuvraj Singh by T-Series, attention turned towards Dravid when he was asked who shoulf play his role if a biopic on his life were made.

Dravid, known for his calm and composed demeanour, surprised many with his humorous response:

“If the money is good enough, I’ll play it myself,” Dravid responded with a witty smile.

Dravid Reflects on his coaching journey

Rahul Dravid, who recently concluded his tenure as the head coach of the Indian team, shared his experiences during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Tough he never played in a World Cup hosted by India, he expressed immense joy in being part of the event as coach.

“To travel all over this country and to be able to experience that joy and passion of the fans. I’ve never been a part of a World Cup as a player in India, but just the experience as a coach to go from city to city and just walk and see what this game meant to the people of this country was phenomenal. It was incredible,” Dravid said.

after guiding India to a much-needed T20 World Cup victory, Dravid's coaching journey with the national team has come to an end. 

Rumours suggest that Dravid may rejoin Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he previously served as captain and mentor, potentially taking on the role of head coach for the upcoming IPL 2025 season.
