Musheer Khan, who has had an outstanding Duleep Trophy game so far, finally put his foot wrong in the second innings of the match. The centurion from the first innings, was dismissed for a 6-ball duck as India B finds themselves under water.

Musheer fails to replicate his first-innings heroics

The teenage sensation has been rock solid for India B in this outing against India A. In the first innings, when everyone failed to deliver the goods, the young prodigy showed his class and stood rock-solid to register a sensational hundred. His innings of 181, was laced with 16 fours and 5 sixes, and it proved to a catalyst for a big score as India B registered 321 in their first innings.

Musheer was the lone warrior for his side, and he also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing record, by hammering the fourth-highest score on Duleep Trophy debut. However, the youngster was brought back to Earth by Akash Deep, who trapped him for a duck in the second innings.

Akash Deep bowled a short of a length delivery, angling into the body of Musheer, who failed to get a bat on it and got a faint-edge. The ball travelled quickly towards Dhruv Jurel, the keeper, who dived to his left and grabbed a brilliant catch.

Interestingly, it was Musheer, who technically played a hand it Akash Deep's dismissal when he was batting. The India B batter took a stunning reflex catch to end Akash's stay at the crease in the first innings.

India B in deep trouble

India B bowlers did really well to dismiss India A for a paltry 231 runs. Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed were the pick of the bowlers, grabbing 3-wickets each. However, disaster struck when they came out to bat.

This time, the India bowlers ran riot and knocked over Yashasvi Jaiswal and Musheer Khan in no time. India B skipper, Abhimanyu Easwaran looked scratchy and he too, was knocked over as the side are reeling at 33/3.
