ICC announced a global trophy tour ahead of the Men's Champions Trophy 2025. The glittering trophy will first be moved around various cities in Pakistan, the host country. It will then tour 7 other participating nations including India.
With Pakistan and India still in a standoff over security and political issues, uncertainty lurks over the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule. While India demanded a hybrid model, Pakistan is in no mood to share revenue as an ICC tournament is returning to their country after several decades.
Meanwhile, with the schedule for Champions Trophy 2025 edition yet to be unveiled, ICC announced a multi-nation trophy tour. The tour will span all eight participating nations, starting from Pakistan.
Champions Trophy tour will begin from Pakistan
Veteran fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar will kick off the tour from Islamabad City in Pakistan on November 16, and the trophy will be toured to Karachi, Abbottabad, Taxila, Murree, and Nathia Gali before it leaves for Afghanistan, followed by Bangladesh, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, England, India and will eventually return to the host nation, Pakistan.
The trophy will be toured across India from January 15-26. Interestingly, Pakistan had initially planned to host the trophy tour in disputed areas of POK. However, after BCCI's strong objection, PCB was ordered to cancel the venue from the tour itinerary.

The ICC has also launched a content series called 'Champion on Tour,' chronicling the journey and marking the celebrations around the event's dynamic new look.
Pakistan-India dialogue halted amid Champions Trophy row
Champions Trophy 2025 venue is still not fixed by ICC as Pakistan and India are in deadlock. Amid this, Pakistan's foreign office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch revealed that no dialogue has taken place between the two nations to resolve the Champions Trophy issue. However, Mumtaz Zahra stated that Pakistan's stand is to not let sports be politicised and further updates on the same will be shared by PCB in due time.
