In a heartfelt gesture that moved the fans, Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav showed utmost respect to the Indian cap during the 4th T20I against South Africa. While celebrating a wicket, Yadav accidentally stepped on the cap but upon realisation, the skipper quickly picked it up, kissed it with respect and handed it over to Rinku Singh.

India caused mayhem at The Wanderers Stadium on November 15 while facing South Africa in the 4th T20I. Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma stitched a 210-run partnership with both batters getting a stupendous century. On the back of their carnage, India registered a 283 runs gigantic total.

SKY shows respect to Indian cap

South Africa, meanwhile, crumbled under pressure to get 4 down for just 10 runs on the board. While India were celebrating their exemplary dominance, captain Suryakumar Yadav won fans’ hearts with a sweet gesture. In a viral video on the internet, Suryakumar accidentally stepped onto Rinku Singh’s cap that fell off his head. As soon as SKY realised, he left the celebrations mid-way, picked up the cap, and kissed it respectfully before handing it back to Rinku.

Surya was also seen apologising for his mistake in what turned out to be an underrated highlight of the game. Meanwhile, the gesture got Suryakumar Yadav viral on the internet as fans praised him for his humility and respect he has for his country.

The captain further received appreciation as he led India to a 3-1 series victory against South Africa. They won the 4th T20I by 135 runs margin and lifted the trophy to cap off another successful assignment.

Sanju Samsons script unbelievable history with 3rd T20I ton

Sanju Samson, once struggling to fix his spot in the playing XI, smashed as many as 3 T20I hundreds in a span of five innings to become the only cricketer with 3 T20I tons in a single calendar year. His latest feat came during the 4th T20I and he previously scored 2 back-to-back ducks. Samson also surpassed KL Rahul to rank third in the list of most T20I hundred by an Indian. The list is currently topped by Rohit Sharma with 5 centuries.
