Marcus Stoinis is a genuine all-rounder and has the ability to win games for his sides both with the bat and ball. He uses the long handle to great effect and dropping him can prove costly. In the second T20I between Pakistan and Australia, Stoinis was dropped twice, first by Agha Salman and then by Shaheen Afridi. It did not prove costly for Pakistan, but the first catch dropped by Salman was quite easy and Pakistan fans along with their team management won't be happy with it.
Marcus Stoinis came out to bat in the sixth over after the wicket of Matthew Short. The first ball was a dot and on the second delivery, Haris Rauf managed to get an outside edge off the blade of Marcus Stoinis with a back-of-a-length delivery, around off. Stoinis had a tentative poke at it and the ball went straight to Agha Salman at first slip. However, the Pakistan vice-captain dropped it and the skipper Rizwan who made an unfruitful diving effort was left frustrated along with Haris Rauf.

Shaheen Afridi then put down a difficult chance in the 8th over, but the Aussie all-rounder could not make the most of it and departed on just 14 off 15 balls. Sufiyan Muqeem got the better of him while the same bowler later got the wicket of Glenn Maxwell as well. Pakistan continued to drop catches, but Australia did not take advantage of it as the bowling unit of the visitors displayed great skills.
