Cricket West Indies announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming 2-game Test series against Bangladesh starting from November 22. Kraigg Brathwaite has been named captain whereas all-rounder Jason Holder has been ignored as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury.

West Indies will host Bangladesh in a crucial 2-game Test series starting from November 22 to December 4. The series opener will be played at Antigua before the action moves to Jamaica.

Meanwhile, CWI announced a detailed 15-member squad for the series earlier today. Kraigg Brathwaite has been named captain, and Joshua Da Silva has been listed as his deputy. Shamar and Alzarri Joseph will continue to lead the bowling attack.

However, all-rounder Jason Holder has surprisingly been left out of the squad. The board mentioned that Holder is yet to recover from a shoulder injury and needs some more time in rehab.

The team includes notable performers like Justin Greaves, who earned a call-up after his stellar form in the CG United Super50 Cup, scoring three centuries. Kevin Sinclair also makes a return as a spin option.  Before the series begins, warm-up matches will be played on November 17 with a two-day clash featuring a CWI Select XI.

Notably, the series schedule includes two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is, spanning venues across the Caribbean, providing ample opportunity for players to showcase their skills.

West Indies are currently placed at the bottom of the WTC table and will look to end on a high note. On the other hand, Bangladesh is ranked 8th and is mathematically ruled out of the contest for the finals.
