Injured Pakistan pacer Ihsanullah's father, Abdul Nasir, has requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to shift his son to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

Notably, Ihsanullah, who rose to prominence following a stellar PSL season, has been missing out on action owing to a long injury layoff. Nasir thinks his recovery is being delayed due to lack of facilities at home in Swat.

Therefore, he has requested the apex body to arrange proper rehabilitation facilities for the promising seamer at NCA in Lahore.

"My son is not receiving adequate care in Swat due to the lack of facilities and qualified doctors," Nasir said as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.

"It is crucial for his rehabilitation that he be transferred to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he can receive the necessary treatment to save his career. I request that he be moved to Lahore to complete his treatment and resume playing," he added.

Hailed for his pace and accuracy, Ihsanullah played a pivotal role for Multan Sultans, scalping 22 wickets to power them to the final of PSL 2023.

He even played an ODI and four T20Is before an unfortunate elbow injury marred his progress in international cricket.
