The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed and uncapped top-order batsman Kamran Ghulam from their squad that will be available for the two-match Test series opener against Bangladesh.

The PCB itself confirmed the development on Saturday via press release, as both of them will now represent Pakistan Shaheens, who will have a second four-day match against Bangladesh A after the first match ended in a row.

Notably, both Abrar and Kamran will only miss the first Test against Bangladesh, which will begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi, and could be available for the second Test, which will take place in Karachi from August 30 onwards.

"The decision has been made after the selectors have opted to go with an all-pace attack in the first ICC World Test Championship match against Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, 21 August," the PCB said in a statement.

Notably, Ghulam will captain Pakistan Shaheens, where there is Imam-ul-Haq as well. Abrar joined forces to put up a stellar show in the fixture, set to begin on August 20 at Islamabad Club.
