Manoj Bhandage, the talented all-rounder from Karnataka has been turning heads in Maharaja Trophy since 2022, and was bought by RCB ahead of the 2023 season. There were high hopes that he will deliver big on the IPL stage as well, but despite facing batting issues in both the 2023 and 2024 season, Manoj Bhandage was not even given a single chance.

Now, Dodda Ganesh, the Karnataka legend and former Indian pacer has also slammed RCB for wasting Manoj Bhandage's talent in two seasons on his official X handle. Ganesh stated that they he was not even used as an impact substitute despite his ability to hit the long handle to great effect. He ended with a hope that some other franchise will give him an opportunity in the 2025 season.

"I’ve been harping about him from 2 seasons now. But the @RCBTweets benched him for 2 editions straight and didn’t give him a game. Not even as an impact substitute. Manoj Bhandage is one of the clean strikers of the cricket ball. Hope some franchise gives him the opportunity."

Manoj Bhandage Starts Off Maharaja Trophy 2024 With A Bang

The talented all-rounder blasted 164 runs in 9 innings at a strike-rate of 192.94 and now has started the 2024 season with a bang as well. He smashed 42 off just 16 balls in the first game of the season and then followed it up with a stunning 58 off just 33 balls. He did not lose his wicket in any of the game, and it speaks a lot about his finishing skills, something which RCB could have used in the last two seasons of IPL.
