Suryakumar Yadav, one of India's most dynamic cricketers and T20 captain, set couple goals when he married his long-term girlfriend, Devisha Shetty, back in July 2016. Let's take a look back at their college romance that blossomed into a lifetime commitment.

The story began in 2012 at the R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, where both Suryakumar Yadav and Devisha Shetty were pursuing their graduation. 

Suryakumar had just begun making a name for himself in the cricket field when he approached Devisha via a mutual friend.

Devisha Shetty, while uninterested at first, shared her BBM number with Suryakumar Yadav, which marked the beginning of their colleague's romance. 

The duo hit it off instantly and after four years of courtship, the couple tied the knot in a traditional South Indian ceremony on July 7, 2016. 

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav's career was stagnant when Devisha guided him to the right path to unearth new opportunities for him to grow. She advised him to get in touch with a nutritionist and work on his fitness to improve his consistency.

Eventually, with the right support and backing from Devisha Shetty, Suryakumar Yadav witnessed a turnaround and broke into the national side at the age of 30. 



To this date, Suryakumar Yadav credits his wife for his success. He counts her as the biggest blessing of his life, and without her, he wouldn't have made it thus far.

Through their journey together, Suryakumar and Devisha have shown that true love is not just about the good times but also about standing by each other through every challenge, making their bond even stronger.
