India's star keeper-batter, Ishan Kishan was recently picked for the India A squad for the upcoming Australia A tour. It is the first time in 11 months that the BCCI have considered Kishan for the Indian team.
Notably, Kishan was among the scheme of things till December 2023. However, things went south after he opted for a break and travelled to Dubai which irked the BCCI. Kishan paid a heavy price as he was left out of the central contract.
Kishan had to face a lot of negativity and trolling as the fans criticised him for his decisions and for not prioritizing the Indian team. In the latest events, speaking with Times of India, Kishan opened up on the trolling and remarked that it is normal and every sportsperson should accept it.
Ishan Kishan Opens Up On Trolling
"Feel negativity will be there on social media. People will troll you if you don't do well and that is very normal. I feel every sportsperson should accept that this is going to happen and you shouldn't make a huge fuss about it. I feel you should enjoy that also because, at the end of the day, you know that when you perform then the same set of people will praise you also. That happened with Hardik also," he said.
"People were trolling him also but he just did his work, performed well in the World Cup and now you can see the result. So this is how it should be... negativity will be there but you have to find that neutral point so that you take everything in a very sporting way. You can't control social media. Jo bhi chalega... it's okay," Kishan added.
