Hardik Pandya's recent journey has been marked by extreme highs and lows. After he was appointed as the Mumbai Indians skipper for India Premier League (IPL) 2024, he faced boos and criticism from all-around and things worsened when MI finished at the bottom of the table.

But soon after that, Hardik Pandya made a remarkable comeback in the final match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, the 30-year-old all-rounder played a pivotal role as India defeated South Africa by 7 runs.

The 'Men in Blue' held their nerve and dragged the game back weathering a Heinrich Klaasen storm in the middle overs of the match.

Former cricketer Ambati Rayudu praised Hardik Pandya's mental strength and resilience in overcoming these adversities and regaining his form for the high-octane tournament .

His emotional reaction post-tournament highlighted the struggles he endured and faced in the T20 World Cup 2024.

“I think it is great on his part. Such great mental strength and now I dare anybody to boo him in India. You know, if you can. If you can try and do that, you will know you will know it and he is an amazing individual and I have played with him, you know, in my state team,” Ambati Rayudu said on Star Sports as quoted by India Today.

He also added that despite these challenges, Pandya made a significant comeback with the national team, as he played a crucial role in India's victory in the marquee tournament.

“He's an amazing guy, an amazing human being, and that's why that's why he could come through this storm, get through this storm that he had just a few months back and to come back that strongly is unbelievable and you know he's a world champion now,” he added.

Hardik Pandya's decisive actions, especially when he removed Heinrich Klaasen in the 17th over and then successfully defended 15 runs against David Miller in the final over, demonstrated his skill and composure under pressure.

Rohit Sharma & Co ended their 11-year-long wait for an ICC trophy by defeating South Africa in the finals that marked a significant achievement for the team and Pandya personally.
