India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya etched his name in cricket history with an unforgettable performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa at Kensington Oval, Barbados. 

With South Africa needing 16 runs from the last six balls, Pandya bowled a spectacular final over, clinching the crucial wicket of David Miller and turning the match in India's favour. His precise and composed bowling ensured India’s victory, securing their first T20 World Cup win in 11 years.

Following the match, Pandya celebrated India's triumph with a gesture that has since become iconic. In a video posted on social media, he showcased his "Main Hoon Na" celebration, a tribute to the famous Bollywood film, while holding the tournament trophy. His new look and exuberant celebration captured the hearts of fans worldwide.

During India's innings, Virat Kohli laid the foundation for a formidable total with a blistering 76 runs, helping India post 176 runs. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Pandya played pivotal roles in the bowling department, combining to restrict South Africa to 169/8, despite their initial threatening stance.

The thrilling final marked the end of four weeks of intense action, with India crowned world champions. The victory was especially sweet as it ended India's 11-year ICC trophy drought.
