Virat Kohli showcased his class and experience in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. He struggled throughout the tournament with only 75 runs in seven games, but he delivered a match-winning performance when it mattered the most. 

Opening alongside Rohit Sharma, Kohli's aggressive start set the tone for India's innings. His ability to anchor the innings after a top-order collapse was crucial, as he scored a pivotal 76 runs, that helped India to a competitive total of 176/7.

The Indian bowlers later on executed a stellar performance that guided the 'Men in Blue' to ultimately secure a narrow 7-run victory over South Africa. 


Ahmed Shehzad Express His Love And Admiration For Virat Kohli  

In a viral video, Former Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad expressed his love and respect for the 35-year-old cricketer after he played a sensational knock that proved to be the turning point in a nail-biting clash. 

"Virat Kohli is a legend of our generation and he is leaving behind a legacy in T20I cricket. He has always played his cricket with enthusiasm. Even in his last match, someone else was taking wickets and he was celebrating at long-on, long-off," Shehzad was quoted as saying by Bol India News.

He also stated that Virat Kohli should not be compared to anyone, neither to Babar Azam as he has played commendable cricket in the T20 format with notable strike-rate and average in the ICC tournaments. 

The legendary Indian batter bid adieu to the T20I format after team India achieved the World Cup glory, hence he also added that Kohli had left a legacy worth cherishing and young generation should follow him and his cricketing career. 

"There is no one like Virat Kohli, let alone me, let alone anybody else. People even compare him with Babar Azam. He should not be compared to anyone. He has an amazing strike rate and average in ICC tournaments. So he shouldn't be compared to anyone. "He's one and only Virat Kohli, he got the send-off that he deserved." he concluded. 

Renowned as one of the greats of cricket, Kohli has made 4,188 runs in 125 matches, which included a century and 38 half-centuries. His World Cup record is particularly impressive, scoring 1,292 runs at an average of 58.72 in 35 games.
