Four players of Balochistan have tested positive for COVID-19 in Pakistan's National T20 Championship and all have been placed in a 10-day long quarantine facility, PTI reported.

The COVID-19 outbreak has compelled the Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) to reschedule the matches of Balochistan even though all other players and their family members have returned negative results in subsequent rounds of testing.

The PCB has also asked the national players, who are set to go to the UAE to play the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled for later this month, to stop participating in the tournament starting from October 8. They will shift to PCB’s biosecure bubble after playing the games scheduled on October 7, the report suggested.

The PCB advertised and put all their might behind the National T20 Championship by bringing all superstar players to the competition after both New Zealand and England refused to play in the country.
