The Coronavirus outbreak is hitting Bangladesh Cricket hard as the Test Captain Mominul Haque has now tested positive for the virus.  Mominul had a mild fever and now after a positive result of the testing has gone under home isolation.  His participation in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup scheduled to commence later this month is now under doubt.

“I only came to know yesterday that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I had fever for the last two days. Even I am running temperature today. But otherwise, there aren’t any other symptoms,” Mominul Haque said on his covid-19 illness.

Mominul’s coronavirus status quoting the chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Debashish Chowdhury. “Mominul is coronavirus positive with mild symptoms," Dr Chowdhury said to reporters.

Mominul’s coronavirus illness comes on the back of Bangladesh T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad testing positive for coronavirus just when he was planning to leave the country to take part in the knockout phase of the Pakistan Super League.

Earlier in September, Bangladesh pacer Abu Jayed too had tested positive for the highly-infectious virus while former skipper Mshrafe Mortaja had contracted the virus in June.
