Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be playing an extremely crucial game against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Chinnaswamy Stadium as they hope to qualify for the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs. Winning the toss, GT opted to bowl first and put RCB into bat who for this game have made one change to the eleven with leg-spinner Karn Sharma going out for another leggie Himanshu Sharma.

With Mumbai Indians winning their last game, RCB are in dire need to perform and they have put their faith on the youngster who hasn't featured in any domestic game ever. Himanshu hails from the city of Rupgarh, Dantaramgarh in the Sikar district of Rajasthan.

Brought in through the process of Hinterland scouting after being caught in the eye of Malolan Rangarajan who is the head of talent scout at RCB.

Playing at Jaipuria cricket academy, he used to train for 7-8 hours every day under the guidance of coach Rohit Jhalani.

Moreover, the 24-year-old was bought in the 2023 player auction for his base price of ₹20 Lakhs as he was already in their radar before this season.

Coming back to the game, RCB's trusted duo of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli opened the innings and thumped 43 in just four overs of play after rain delayed the start of play.
