The left-handed batter hit 64 off 51 while Suryakumar Yadav and Tristan Stubbs racked up 26 and 20 runs, respectively. The visitors managed to post 139/8 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing 140, openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway scored 30 and 44 runs, respectively, while Shivam Dube remained not out on 26 as CSK reached the target comfortably in 17.4 overs. Pathirana grabbed the Player of the Match award for his solid spell.


DC in IPL 2023

DC, who have never lifted the IPL title, is going through a poor season so far under the stewardship of David Warner. The Capitals have played ten games with just four wins and six losses. With 8 points and an NRR of -0.529, they are rock bottom in the table's tenth spot.

DC Last Match in IPL 2023

DC played their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Delhi, where the hosts beat Faf du Plessis's side convincingly by seven wickets.

The Royal Challengers won the toss and opted to bat first. Virat Kohli struck 55, while skipper Faf amassed 45. Mahipal Lomror smashed his maiden IPL fifty (54* off 29) as the visitors posted 181/4 in 20 overs. Mitchell Marsh was the pick of the DC bowlers for his spell of 2/21 (3).

In reply, Captain Warner got out for 22 while Marsh scored 26. Phil Salt made a mockery of the target as he hammered 87 off just 45 with eight fours and six maximums. Rilee Rossouw remained unbeaten on 35 off 22 as the Capitals completed the chase in 16.4 overs. Salt grabbed the Player of the Match award for his splendid knock at the top of the order.
