Pakistan has long been renowned for producing exciting fast bowlers at an impressive rate, with the team management being particularly adept at providing promising young talents with the platform and opportunities to thrive at domestic and international levels.

In the latest edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), one such talent has emerged in the form of Multan Sultans' pacer, Ihsanullah, who recently delivered an exceptional and record-breaking performance against Quetta Gladiators.

According to reports from CricViz, Ihsanullah's four-over spell was the fastest ever recorded by a bowler in the PSL's history, with an average speed of 144.37 kph, surpassing the previous record of 144.16 kph held by Haris Rauf's fiery spell for the Qalandars against Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 7.

The lanky pacer was in fine form from his first over, delivering an explosive delivery of over 150 kph that resulted in the dismissal of Quetta Gladiators' Sarfaraz Ahmed. He then went on to pick up an impressive five wickets, conceding only 12 runs, and helping his team to bowl out the opposition for just 110.

The next in line, after Rauf, in terms of delivering the fastest four-over spell are Naseem Shah (143.73 kph), Mohammad Hasnain (143.41 kph), and Wahab Riaz (143.33 kph), but it was Ihsanullah who stood out with his exceptional performance.

Meanwhile, following a disappointing start to the tournament in the opener against Lahore Qalandars where they lost the game by just a solitary run, the Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans made a rousing comeback with a nine-wicket win against the Quetta Gladiators, thanks to Ihsanullah's incredible bowling.

The right-arm quick’s remarkable performance in the PSL has undoubtedly caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts and experts alike, and it will be fascinating to see how his career progresses from here. With the right guidance and support, he may just be the next big thing in world cricket.
