A total of four teams came up against each other on Wednesday, February 8th in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Let's take a quick review of the action transpired.

Match 39: Khulna Tigers vs Sylhet Strikers

Result: Sylhet Strikers won by six wickets.

Another dominating day with the ball, followed by a sturdy half century from Zakir Hasan helped Sylhet Strikers to register their ninth win of the tournament, beating Khulna Tigers in Match 39th.

After opting to bat first, Khulna Tigers were disappointed with the bat once again as they could only manage 113 on the board in twenty overs. Imad Wasim and Tanzim Hasan Sakib reduced the Tigers to 41 for four at the end of ten overs. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Nahidul Islam stiched a much needed 36 runs for the seventh wicket and took Khulna’s score past hundred.

Chasing a paltry 114, Sylhet Strikers did struggle early in their innings, losing both of their inform openers in the powerplay, but a 90-run partnership for the third wicket between Zakir Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim helped Strikers to chase the target quite comfortably in the end. Zakir departed after scoring his half century, followed by Rahim getting out through a run-out. Ryan Burl gave the finishing touches and Sylhet got across the line with more than two overs to spare.
