Kotian's grit, Jadeja's seven wickets forms major talking points of Day 3 of Ranji Trophy's Round-7

In another riveting day of action, Tanush Kotian and Ravindra Jadeja shone bright with their performances, while Andhra Pradesh kept their knockouts dream alive. 

Kotian guards Mumbai 

Tanush Kotian emerged as Mumbai's saviour as his 93-run knock helped the team stand level to Maharshatra in terms of first-innings total. 

Mumbai were cornered, lying at 238/6 when Kotian came in to bat. While it had made sense for him to try reducing Maharashtra's lead, he went a step further as his partnerships with Prasad Pawar and lower-order batters allowed Mumbai the same first-innings score as Maharashtra.

Jadeja gets ready for international comeback 

Saurashtra's Ravindra Jadeja was at his majestic best with the ball as the international all-rounder could not have asked for a better performance before his India return.

The left-arm spinner being in his pomp rattled Tamil Nadu, claiming a seven-wicket haul in the second innings of the match.

While Saurashtra had given away a significant lead of 132 runs in the first innings, Jadeja's bowling performance had given the team a realistic chance of winning the match and ending up on top of the Elite Group B points table.

Andhra Pradesh in hunt for knockout spot 

With an innings and 95 runs victory over Assam, Andhra Pradesh are still in the race to enter the quarter-finals. Lalith Mohan's five-for bundled Assam at 153 runs, helping Andhra bag a bonus point.

Andhra Pradesh finished the league stage at 26 points. The only way they will lose their knockout spot is if the Mumbai-Maharashtra clash does not end in a draw.

Badoni's ton rattles Hyderabad 

Ayush Badoni, who was going through a lean patch, roared back to form with a century. While he could have possibly registered his first-ever first-class double ton, he was dismissed for 191.

Badoni's hundred probably denied Hyderabad three points as Delhi gained a 78-run first-innings advantage.
