In recent times, hectic scheduling and improper resting periods for the players have resulted in player fatigue. To an extent, those players have decided to start picking and choosing the formats.

Previously, Ben Stokes gave up ODI cricket in a bid to prolong his T20I and Test career which he feels was necessary for him to survive. Now, former English World Cup-winning skipper Eoin Morgan has put his weight behind players bound to play all formats.

Recalling one of his moments from 2019, Morgan remembered how his team were playing a Test after the World Cup victory. Something similar to what Moeen Ali said after T20 World Cup 2022 triumph.

Further, the 36-year-old mentioned that for this problem he doesn't have an answer. Adding that something has to give as in the case of Stokes.

"I don't think that there is just one answer.

"If you compromise one country's fixtures it opens opportunities for someone else to fill it with more.

"In 2019 less than a week after we (England) won the (50-over) World Cup, players were playing in a Test match at Lord's against Ireland. We've had problems with this jam-packed schedule for a while, and I don't have an answer at the moment.

"Of course we want Ben to play in the World Cup, everyone wants to see that, but humans can't play every day. Something has to give."

England will next be seen playing against Australia in the third ODI on 22nd November.
