Northern Superchargers Women will light up the crowd at Headingley in Leeds as they cross swords with London Spirit Women in the fifth match of the second edition of The Women's Hundred competition.

It is too early to judge the performances of both teams based on their positions in the points table. But for the information, the London-based franchise is in fifth place, while the Leeds-based franchise is in the seventh spot as both sides have lost their respective opening fixtures.

The team led by Hollie Armitage bowed down to Oval Invincibles Women in the inaugural fixture of the season while the Charlotte Dean-led side also faced a defeat in the hands of Southern Brave Women.

Both these franchises have various international stars, which should be a treat to the eyes. However, playing at their home ground, the Superchargers will try to make sure their fans will not go home with their head down while the visitors will try to spoil the hosts' party and notch up a couple of points.

Key Players

Laura Wolvaardt has been a consistent scorer for South Africa Women and has announced herself in this entertaining league. She is heading into this match on the back of a swashbuckling 49 runs.

Beth Mooney played a sensational knock of unbeaten 97 runs from 55 deliveries in her first game. She should back it up with another remarkable innings'.

The ever-consistent Jemimah Rodrigues helped the Superchargers to post a decent total on the board through her 32-ball 51 against the Invincibles.

Pitch Report

The pitch should help the bowlers early in the contest, it is expected to be a tad cloudy so bowlers should expect some additional support. However, once the batters are set down at the middle, it should become easier to score runs with time.
