In what is coming as troubling and horrifying news from Birmingham, the entire area near the Indian team's hotel has been sealed. This news comes after a suspicious package was found near the Centenary Square area, prompting the entire police force to race into action.
Area Near Indian Team's Hotel Sealed
Ahead of the second Test between England and India, to be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham, news from the city indicates that the entire area near the current location of the Indian team at Hyatt Residency has been sealed due to suspicious activity.
The West Midlands police have requested that people in the area near Centenary Square, where a suspicious package was found, evacuate the area. As per RevSportz, The entire protocols and precautions were followed by the police, who have now taken the package into custody and are investigating the matter thoroughly.
Furthermore, it has been reported that the police were alerted around 3:00 PM, and all buildings in the area have been evacuated so far. All people residing in Birmingham have been advised to stay away from the area as a precaution, as the matter is being dealt with in a serious manner.

Indian Team Safe After Matter Cleared
The Indian side staying at the Hyatt Residency had been advised to avoid the area. About two hours ago, at approximately 4:40 PM, after investigating the incident for about an hour and a half, the police discovered a suspicious package.
Adding to this, the bomb disposal squad arrived around 5 PM. However, the good news is that the cordon has finally been lifted, and hopefully, everything is now back in control.
For the unversed, the Shubman Gill-led Indian side are all set to play England in the second Test at Birmingham from 2nd July onwards, which is expected to be another thriller after the first one at Headingley where England defeated India by five wickets.
