Rohit Sharma is one of the finest modern day cricketer and though he is at the fag-end of his career, he is still going strong. In the last year or so, he has reinvented himself and has adopted an ultra-aggressive role which is on display again in the MI's first game of IPL 2024 against GT.

GT batted first and scored 168 in the first innings and in reply, Rohit Sharma started off positively in his usual effortless flair, stroking GT bowlers all over the park with ease. His first six came in the fourth over against Umesh Yadav when he bowled it full and on middle stump line.

Rohit waited for it and flicked it off the middle of his blade over deep mid-wicket, leaving everyone watching in the ground mesmerized. He went onto hit seven fours too in his knock of  43 before Sai Kishore trapped him in front on the first delivery of the 13th over.

However, with this knock, it is clear that Rohit is hungry for runs after being omitted as MI skipper ahead of the season and all Mumbai fans would be hoping that their former skipper gets some big runs this season.
