The MI captaincy change saga has rocked the cricketing world and the first game of IPL 2024 is a clear proof that the trolling and debates around it, are not going to stop any soon. There are lot of videos going around on social media related directly or indirectly to MI captaincy change and one of them is the one where Rohit Sharma is seen getting ignored by MI debutant Luke Wood.

The incident happened in the second over when Luke Wood was bowling his first over of the IPL and after the third ball, Rohit Sharma who was stationed on the leg side jumped over the pitch and came towards the bowler to encourage him.

However, Luke Wood did not give any attention to Rohit Sharma and just picked the ball and walked away towards his mark which has led to accusations that he has ignored Rohit Sharma.

However, this is quite natural in cricket where bowler is constantly encouraged by the fielders and bowlers don't necessarily have to retaliate. 

So, social media might promote the video by using Rohit Sharma and MI controversy as a tool, but in reality, there is hardly anything conclusive that can be drawn from the Luke Wood-Rohit Sharma video.
