Concerning visuals streamed from the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where MI locked horns with GT, Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma were left puzzled and frustrated with Hardik Pandya’s leadership tactics, thus adding fuel to the internal rift rumors.

Mumbai Indians took the field for the first time this IPL season under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, and as previously expected, the change of dynamics has led to speculations of a brewing rift amongst the senior unit.

In a concerning moment for MI fans, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah were seen criticizing Hardik Pandya’s leadership skills behind his back.

The trio were in a huddle in between overs and Bumrah was trying to plead his case to Hardik in an animated chat.

As soon as former skipper Rohit Sharma joined the chat, Pandya walked off, and Rohit was seen gesturing how Hardik was perhaps not listening to his inputs. The ex-captain pointed fingers behind Hardik Pandya’s back, and Jasprit Bumrah seemed to be in agreement with Rohit’s views.

While the exact nature of conversation between the trio is unknown, the heated moment clearly reflected on the alleged internal rift brewing inside the MI camp ever since Hardik Pandya was appointed as the captain off the franchise.

Moreover, it is evident that tensions ran high on the field as MI is getting adjusted to these sudden changes in dynamics.

Undoubtedly, Hardik Pandya being the center of attention and decision making was expected prior to the season. But the acts of disrespect towards Rohit Sharma is blatant shocking and unpleasant.

Overall, Mumbai Indians find themselves at a crossroads with these unnecessary controversies in the midst of a historic leadership change.
