[Watch] Trent Boult Breaks Devdutt Padikkal's Helmet With Deadly Bouncer

Trent Boult is one of the best new-ball bowlers in the world and he has proved that again in the RR-LSG clash of IPL 2024. The left-arm pacer got the big wicket of Quinton de Kock in the very first over and then cleaned up Devdutt Padikkal with a beauty.
However, before he bowled Padikkal, he bowled a deadly bouncer that rocked Devdutt completely. It was a sharp bouncer angling into the left-handed batter and before he could get into the position to play a pull or hook, the ball hit his helmet and damaged it.
That blow probably affected the confidence of the the young left-hander and on the next ball, he did not move his feet positively as the ball went past his bat to rattle his stumps.

Along with Padikkal, LSG have also been rocked early and after the wicket of Ayush Badoni in the fourth over, they were reduced to 11-3. Earlier, RR won the toss and their skipper Sanju Samson led from the front with a brilliant 82 and took RR to 193 after losing two wickets in the Powerplay at their home ground in Jaipur.
