In the ongoing match between India D and India A at the Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur, Yash Dubey was involved in an unfortunate dismissal that has now put the Shreyas Iyer-led side on the brink of defeat. 

Chasing a mammoth total of 488 runs, India D lost an early wicket as Atharva Taide was dismissed for a duck. Nonetheless, Ricky Bhui and Yash Dubey stitched a 100-run stand for the 2nd wicket and looked like they would guide their side to a famous win, but Yash Dubey's unfortunate dismissal turned the course of the match. 

On the 5th ball of the 30th over, Bhui guided the ball straight down the ground in search of a single, but Dubey failed to get away from the line of the ball in time, and eventually, it hit his bat and deflected off to Shams Mulani, who ran Dubey out at the non-strikers end.

The 25-year-old scored 37 (94), which was his highest score in this Duleep Trophy. At the time of writing this article, India D are 265/7 and they are cruising towards their second straight in this tournament as they also suffered a four-wicket defeat against India C in their first match. 

India A vs India D Match Summary So Far

India A, batting first, put 290 runs on the board courtesy of fifties from Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian. In reply, India D tumbled for just 183 runs as Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan took three wickets each. In reply, India D strengthened their lead and declared their innings for 380/3 as Tilak Varma and Pratham Singh stitched a century.
