As per emerging reports, India might make significant changes to their T20I squad and rest several key players for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. After a two-match Test series starting this 19th, India will lock horns with the visitors in a three-match T20I series on home soil. 

According to a PTI report, the hosts will likely rest Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah for the high-voltage series in order to manage their workload ahead of a hectic Test season. Ruturaj Gaikwad: The Frontrunner To Replace Shubman Gill

If India rest Shubman Gill for the Bangladesh series, stylish Maharashtra opener Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the frontrunner to replace him in the squad. Gaikwad has grabbed the limited opportunities with both hands, amassing 633 runs, including a century, at a blistering strike rate of 143.54. These impressive numbers bat for his inclusion in the Indian team and make him the first-choice opening partner of Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

Will Ishan Kishan Make His T20I Comeback? 

Given Rishabh Pant's importance for the Australia tour, it won't be surprising if the Indian management rests him for the Bangladesh T20Is. In such a scenario, explosive keeper-batter Ishan Kishan emerges as his like-for-like replacement. 

Ishan brings flexibility to the table, as he can bat in the top as well as the middle order. In his last T20I series, Ishan garnered 110 runs, including two scintillating fifties, in three appearances.

After being declared fit, Suryakumar Yadav is all set to make his return to competitive cricket. The swashbuckling batter is expected to lead the Indian team in the Bangladesh T20Is and play a crucial role in the middle order alongside Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh. 

Riyan Parag, who was impressive with the ball in Sri Lanka, will likely retain his place, with Shivam Dube making it into the team as Pandya's alternative. Axar Patel and Washington Sundar might be the other all-round options, as the Men in Blue will be looking to ensure batting depth without compromising their bowling resources.
