While playing for India A at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur in Duleep Trophy 2024 match against India D, Varma smashed nine excellent fours to cross the three-digit mark. He reached the milestone during the 94th over of India A's innings when Saransh Jain came into the attack. He dabbed a ball past slip to take a couple of runs, and in the process, he got his century.
